The new Pharmacy First service, launched 31 January 2024, adds to the existing consultation service and enables community pharmacies to complete episodes of care for 7 common conditions following defined clinical pathways.

It is important to note that if you have certain underlying health conditions, you may require more specialist care than the Pharmacy First service can provide.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) affect your urinary tract, including your bladder (cystitis), urethra (urethritis) or kidneys (kidney infection). 

Sinusitis, often referred to as a sinus infection, is the inflammation & swelling of the lining of the sinuses. 

Shingles occur when a nerve becomes infected, causing a painful rash on the skin around it.

Earaches are commom, espeically in children.

Impetigo is a contagious skin infection which usually begins as red sores or blisters,

A sore throat is very common & can cause irritation & pain when swallowing. 

Experiencing a bite or sting from an insect is common & it’s normal to experience some itching or pain
